How it all began
GrowerTalks magazine was founded by George J. Ball, Ball’s founder. George decided to publish his own magazine because the editor of the floral trade magazine in which he wanted to publish his crop production articles wouldn’t print them in a timely fashion. He knew growers needed the information now! So he launched his own magazine, GrowerTalks, writing at home after work on a legal pad balanced on his knee.
Over the years, other forms of connecting and informing customers has developed that reflects how growers and retailers need to get their information. There are newsletters for every segment of the industry with live and on-demand webinars and podcasts on a wide range of topics.
There is a robust educational video library on the GrowerTalks YouTube channel, plus a strong social media presence allowing for immediate and interactive ways to engage and learn from sources all around the globe.
The aim is to keep the industry connected, with trade publications offering timely information and the latest industry news.
